In the opening match of Group B, FaZe secured a dominant 2-0 win over Evil Geniuses (16-7 Nuke, 16-6 Dust2), moving on to the group's winner's match.

The series started on Nuke, where FaZe dismantled Evil Geniuses' A site defense in the pistol, only to lose to a following force-buy which saw the North American side take a 3-1 lead. Then, Marcelo "coldzera" David pulled off a 1v3 clutch on the lower bombsite, which helped his side go up 5-3 on the offensive side.

Shortly, Nikola "NiKo" Kovač showed up in a 2v4, getting all four kills on the A bombsite, making Evil Geniuses' struggles even worse. The Bosnian was only getting fired up, as he ended the half with 18-8 K-D as FaZe claimed a dominant 11-4 lead before the switch.

Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz's team then found success in the pistol round with an A rush, but no inroads were found in the anti-force, which FaZe claimed flawlessly. The next two rounds followed a similar pattern (14-5), and from that point, it was just a matter of time before the international squad closed out their map pick, 16-7.

NiKo was leading his team by example against EG

FaZe picked up on Dust2 where they left off on Nuke, securing the CT pistol and taking a 4-0 lead following Håvard "rain" Nygaard's 1v2 clutch on the A bombsite. Evil Geniuses then found some success towards the B bombsite, but NiKo and co. were still keeping ahead, and locking down a B push allowed them to extend their lead to 8-4 thanks to an edge in the economy.

As the half was coming to a close, Evil Geniuses tried to go for an A execute, but they were met by rain who cleaned up the whole team with the support of NiKo's flashes. There were no signs of stopping following the switch, as FaZe were swiftly 13-4 up after another pistol win. Evil Geniuses were starting to put up a comeback attempt late into the game, but NiKo's double with a Scout-Deagle combo broke the North American side and saw FaZe take Dust 16-6, 2-0 for the series.
